As a parent, divorce can feel like a fight for survival as you navigate extreme grief, loneliness, and pain while still assembling school lunches and poster board presentations. But divorce can ultimately be a catalyst for change—an opportunity to thrive. Join our host each week on the Divorce Tribe Podcast as he discusses stories and lessons-learned after the dissolution of his 15-year marriage and how he survived and is now learning to thrive as a parent and individual. Whether you are contemplating divorce, in the thick of it, or mourning the loss of your marriage, this podcast is meant to provide support and healing as you navigate the daily trials and questions that accompany divorce. We are part of the same tribe—The Divorce Tribe.

On today's episode of The Divorce Tribe Podcast (Episode 022: Divorce Portrayal (or is it Betrayal) in Pop Culture) I talk about how divorce is portrayed in pop culture—mainly movies and books.
My goal this episode is to share how TV shows and Movies have altered our view of divorce and what we can learn from those depictions while also avoiding perceptions that are wildly inaccurate. In all reality, as I researched this week's topic, I was able to find truths in even the most asinine movies that involve divorce or coparenting, such as Liar Liar and Mrs. Doubtfire, but there are also movies that portray the despair and struggles of divorce so accurately that it can be triggering.
